Not at all. FitNest works fully with Apple Health and Apple Watch — which most users already have. If you own a fitness wearable like WHOOP, Garmin, or similar, it unlocks deeper recovery data like strain and HRV trends via Apple Health, but nothing core is gated behind third-party hardware.
Yes — switch any time from your profile. Your history, PRs, and progress stay intact regardless of which coach you're using. Some Pro users run two coaches simultaneously: one for strength programming (Maya) and one for recovery (Sage). That's a perfectly valid approach.
PT mode is available on Elite and designed for personal trainers, coaches, and online fitness coaches. You can create client profiles, assign workout templates, monitor their progress remotely, and receive alerts when they hit a plateau or miss sessions. The client uses FitNest on their own device (any tier) and you see their data on yours.
Your workout data is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. FitNest doesn’t hold your personal workout history on our side — we can’t see it. The social feed is opt-in. Nothing is public unless you explicitly share it. We think this is how it should be.
Pro and Elite plans both come with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. You get full access to every feature in that tier for 14 days. After that you choose to subscribe or drop back to Starter (free). We don't auto-charge without you confirming a subscription through the App Store.
Yes. FitNest is offline-first. Log workouts, view history, and use basic tracking in the gym without any signal. AI coaches and AI-powered features are included with Pro and Elite — they sync when you're back online. Social feed, leaderboards, and PT mode client sync need an internet connection.
